Marci Carlson was born in Pittsburgh, PA and now resides in Tacoma, WA. Having studied and worked as an RN has given her a comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy. She paints portraits, still life, wild life and an occasional landscape using oil on canvas or linen.
She studied with Larry Casso at the Baton Rouge Fine Arts Academy and Jamie Cooper from Ligonier, PA. She also participated in Jeff Watts online Atelier program. Her work has been shown at the Bottle Works in Johnstown, PA, the Pharmacy Art Gallery and SAA at the Hoogland Art Center in Springfield, IL. Her work can currently be viewed at the Proctor Art Gallery in Tacoma.
