Trained first as a graphic designer, my focus led to a career in advertising, creating campaigns for such large health and beauty companies such as: Nexxus Products Company and Garden Botanika, with award-winning work in
design, packaging and magazine advertisements.
I have always had the ‘tug’ of being a fine artist and my career in graphic design gave me the incentive to start. Inspired by the natural world, I have always wanted to take more time to do fine art and to show the “impression at first glance” of what we see in nature scapes and strive to get that close-up of scenes we take for granted. A lot of influence I felt for design and art comes from my family, including my grandmother and my aunt, both of whose work I loved, so I hope to achieve the same elegance in my work. Monet and Georgia O’Keefe’s inspiration keep my work impressionistic.
Working in acrylics and oils, mostly on canvas. My goal for the future is to paint large works above 6 feet to have the audience feel as if they could easily enter in.
